Water-jet liposuction was introduced in late 2007 by a German plastic surgeon, Dr Meyer. It is the first advnace in liposuction that actually advantages the patient, giving less painful, quicker recovery, and earlier visible results. Water-jet liposuction is usually cheaper becuase it requires less anaesthesia and no hospital time.
Water-jet liposuction uses a unique application of tumescent fluid to dilodge the fat cells. This allows for more precise and safer application.
Water jet liposuction is a generic term and is also known by the trade marked name "bodyjet" liposuction. However, terms such as, "liquid liposuction" or "soft liposuction", apply to the same process of waterjet liposuction.
How do I find out more?
Because the application of waterjet liposuction can be safely performed in sterile procedure room and there is not the need for pain relief or gernal anesthetic there is not the need for hospitalisaiton. For the patient this means less cost because there is no expenditure on hospitals and anesthetic cost.
